• Is the program easy to get to from my home or job?
• Are activities offered in ways that work for me (such as online, at
different sites, or different times of day)?
• Does the program provide transportation to help me get to the
program?
2 The program schedule works for me.
• What does a typical day look like?
• Is the schedule similar each day?
• Are activities offered at a time that works for me?
• What happens if I cannot attend on a given day or if I have to
arrive late/leave early? Is regular attendance required?
• Are lunches provided there?
3 There is structure and routine in the program.
• How many participants are part of the program?
• How long can I take part in the program? Is there a minimum
amount of time that I would need to take part for (i.e., 3 months)?
• For how long do participants usually take part in this program?
• In the past 3 months, have many staff members left their job
here? How many new staff members have been hired?
• Who is in charge here?
4 Participants have access to safe, comfortable spaces.
• What common spaces would I have access to? At what times?
• Are spaces physically accessible to meet my support needs?
• Are my sensory needs considered (such as lighting or noise
levels)?
• Is there a place where I can keep my belongings (phone, money,
jacket, etc.)? Is it locked to prevent theft?
• Is there a place where I can spend time alone?
5 The program has the capacity to support me.
• Are there openings in the program now? Is there a waiting list?
• What happens if a class that I’m interested in fills up?
• Is there a participant council, or ways that I can give feedback to
the program?
6 The program enhances my ability to carry out daily living
skills.
• Does the program provide training to improve my skills or
interests?
• How does this program support my self-advocacy skills?
• What are some ways in which I am taught financial independence?
• Could I work part time and attend the ADT part time?
